What does converting an image change?
Conversion changes the file's encoding and extension, such as PNG to JPG or JPG to WebP. It does not automatically change the composition, and this tool keeps the source pixel width and height during a normal conversion.
Which output format should I choose?
Choose JPG for compatible photographic files, PNG for lossless graphics or transparency, and WebP for efficient modern web delivery. The best choice depends on what the destination accepts and which visual details matter.
Will conversion resize my image?
No. The normal conversion workflow keeps the original pixel width and height while changing the file format. If the destination also requires different dimensions, use a resize tool before or after creating the new-format copy.
Can a converted image lose transparency?
Yes. PNG and WebP can contain transparent pixels, while JPG cannot. When converting transparent artwork to JPG, those areas need a solid background, so inspect logos, shadows, and soft edges before using the result.
Does changing formats reduce quality?
It can. JPG and lossy WebP discard some image information, while PNG uses lossless browser encoding. Quality also depends on the source, because detail already removed by an earlier export cannot be restored through conversion.
Can conversion make the file smaller?

Can I convert an already compressed image?
