About ResizeBento
This Privacy Policy applies to the ResizeBento website and its browser-based image tools at resizebento.com. The service is operated under the name ResizeBento. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@resizebento.com.
Local Image Processing
Images selected for ResizeBento tools are generally processed in your browser on your device. The Resize, Crop, Compress, Convert, DPI, PDF, and Remove Background tools do not upload your selected image files to ResizeBento servers in order to perform their core processing. Output files are generated by your browser and made available for you to download.
ResizeBento may save image-processing tasks in your browser's IndexedDB. Depending on the tool, this local data may include source files, workspace settings, editing state, generated results, file details, and task status. This supports the processing workflow, recovery after a refresh, downloads, and Continue Editing.
You can delete this local data by clearing site data for ResizeBento or clearing browser data. Private browsing, browser storage limits, automatic browser cleanup, manual clearing, or device and browser failures may cause local tasks and results to be lost. You are responsible for downloading and keeping any results you need.
Local image processing does not mean that no other information leaves your device. Normal website requests, model downloads, analytics when configured, and feedback that you choose to submit are separate data flows described below.
Remove Background Model
Remove Background uses an AI model that runs in a browser Worker on your device. Model files may be downloaded from Hugging Face and cached in Cache Storage or related browser caches so that the browser can reuse them. Image inference runs on your device; ResizeBento does not send the image selected for this feature to Hugging Face for inference.
Hugging Face and network providers may receive the information normally needed to deliver model files, such as an IP address, request headers, requested model file, device or browser information, and request time. They do not receive your selected image file merely because ResizeBento downloads the model.
Model loading depends on browser support, storage, memory, and network conditions. ResizeBento may use WebGPU when available and fall back to a WebAssembly-based path, but model downloads and WebGPU support are not guaranteed on every device.
Information Provided by Users
You may choose to submit feedback through the Feedback form. The form accepts:
- An optional email address.
- A feedback message.
When the form is submitted, the ResizeBento server also processes the website hostname, submission time, and your browser's User-Agent header. This information is used to receive and review feedback, reply when an email address is provided, and identify product or compatibility problems.
Feedback submissions are delivered to the ResizeBento operator for review and may be retained until they are no longer needed or are manually deleted.
Do not include passwords, payment information, identity documents, sensitive health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information in feedback.
Automatically Collected Usage Data
ResizeBento includes optional integrations for Google Analytics, Plausible Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity. Each integration is enabled only when its corresponding site setting is configured. Depending on the service and configuration, these providers may process information such as:
- Page URLs and referring pages.
- Visit times and usage events.
- Browser, device, and operating-system information.
- Screen or viewport information.
- Approximate geographic information derived from network data.
- Page interactions, navigation, clicks, scrolling, or diagnostic events.
- Cookies, session identifiers, pseudonymous identifiers, or similar technologies.
The exact data, cookie behavior, and retention depend on ResizeBento's configuration and the provider. Plausible's deployment or script host may also vary by configuration. ResizeBento does not describe all analytics data as anonymous and does not assume that every analytics service is cookieless.
Cloudflare
ResizeBento uses Cloudflare for website hosting or the Workers runtime, static content delivery, network security, and protection against abuse and attacks. To provide and protect these services, Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request headers, requested URLs, routing information, security signals, and other network request information. Cloudflare's logging and retention are controlled in part by its services, settings, and policies; ResizeBento does not control every Cloudflare retention period.
Cookies and Browser Storage
Browser Storage
ResizeBento uses or may use browser storage for the following site functions:
- IndexedDB stores local image and PDF tasks, source files, workspace and editing settings, task status, and generated image or PDF results.
- Cache Storage and related browser caches may cache Remove Background model files and ordinary website resources.
- Session Storage identifies the active Resize or PDF task and workspace for the current browser tab.
- Local Storage may remember limited interface or navigation state, such as which image tool should be reopened after a download.
The available storage, retention, and cleanup behavior depend on your browser and device.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
ResizeBento's site configuration supports a locale cookie, and site components may use cookies or similar storage for limited interface state. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may also use cookies, browser identifiers, or similar technologies when enabled. Plausible's behavior depends on the configured deployment.
ResizeBento does not currently provide an in-site Cookie Settings panel or an analytics consent-management mechanism. You can block or clear cookies and site data through your browser settings. Blocking browser storage may prevent task recovery or model caching and may affect some analytics or interface behavior.
How Information Is Used
ResizeBento may use information described in this Policy to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and protect the website and tools.
- Save and recover local processing tasks in your browser.
- Improve tools, compatibility, and the user experience.
- Analyze traffic and feature usage when analytics is configured.
- Receive, review, and reply to feedback.
- Diagnose errors, abuse, attacks, and security problems.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Sharing and Third-Party Services
ResizeBento uses or may use the following third-party services for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, network processing, and security.
- Google Analytics for website traffic and usage analysis when configured.
- Plausible Analytics for website traffic and usage analysis when configured.
- Microsoft Clarity for interaction, user-experience, and problem analysis when configured.
- Hugging Face to provide browser AI model files for Remove Background.
Information is shared with or processed by these services only as needed for the relevant feature, infrastructure, or analysis purpose. Each provider processes information under its own policies and settings. ResizeBento does not sell image files selected for processing or the content of feedback submissions.
ResizeBento may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, protect users or the service, or investigate abuse.
Data Retention
Image and PDF tasks, source files, generated results, workspace settings, and model caches are primarily stored in your browser. Their retention depends on browser storage behavior, available space, the task cleanup built into a tool, and your actions.
Feedback may be retained by the operator until it is no longer needed or is manually deleted. Analytics retention depends on ResizeBento's configuration and the applicable analytics provider. Security and network logs may be retained by Cloudflare or another provider according to its settings and policies. ResizeBento does not promise fixed retention periods where the current configuration does not establish them.
Data Security
ResizeBento uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service. These measures include HTTPS for the public site, Cloudflare security capabilities, local processing of selected images, server-side protection of service credentials, validation and size limits for feedback requests, and restricted server handling of feedback fields.
No network transmission, third-party service, browser database, or local storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure or continuously available. You are responsible for protecting your device, browser profile, downloaded files, and local site data.
International Data Processing
Third-party providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Such processing is governed by the provider's policies, service configuration, contractual arrangements, and applicable law. ResizeBento does not represent that all processing occurs in a particular country or data center.
Privacy Rights
Depending on the law that applies where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to certain processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact support@resizebento.com. ResizeBento may need enough information to understand and reasonably verify the request.
For data stored locally by your browser, you can clear site data for ResizeBento yourself. Some analytics or network information is aggregated, pseudonymous, or not reasonably linked by ResizeBento to a particular person. In those cases, ResizeBento may not be able to identify or delete an individual record.
Children's Privacy
ResizeBento is not specifically directed to children who have not reached the age at which they may independently consent under the law where they live. ResizeBento does not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact support@resizebento.com to request appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
ResizeBento may update this Policy as its tools, analytics configuration, or legal obligations change. The date displayed at the top of this page identifies the latest revision. ResizeBento does not promise account or email notices that the current service cannot provide, but will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
