Is this page for a group or a personal account photo?
This page prepares a group icon file. It uses its own starting canvas and group-focused framing guidance. A personal profile picture has a separate page, even when both images use square compositions.
Why does the template start at 500x500?
Those dimensions match the requested site template for the group icon. They are not a claim that WhatsApp requires this exact upload size. The usual Resize controls remain available if you need another canvas.
Will you automatically crop each member’s face?
The resizer does not detect people or decide which faces belong in the group image. You control the crop and padding. A large group photograph may be difficult to recognize as an icon even when every person remains inside the frame.
Does the icon become circular in the downloaded file?
The canvas stays rectangular. A circle in a framing illustration helps you assess the central part of a square icon, but it does not erase corner pixels or create a transparent circular image.
Can I keep the whole group emblem without cutting it?
Fit the source with padding when its outer details are important. This can preserve the complete image within the square canvas. Check the apparent symbol size afterward, because added space can make a complicated emblem too small.
Can I prepare icons for several related groups?
You can process multiple local files using the same starting settings, subject to the workspace limits. Each source produces its own result. The tool does not create missing group emblems or apply different names to an image.
Does a transparent source stay transparent?
Existing alpha can be retained with a suitable format such as PNG or WebP and the appropriate padding choice. JPG does not retain transparency. An opaque background in the original is not removed automatically.
