WhatsApp Sticker Resizer

Start static sticker artwork at 512x512 pixels with PNG and transparent padding. Select WebP if needed; platform file-size limits are not enforced.

How to resize static sticker artwork

Keep the expression and its outline together, then check both the image and the destination’s format requirements.

  1. 1

    Use a finished still-image source

Upload JPG, PNG, or WebP artwork. Start with a transparent source if you want to keep a cutout; this page does not remove an opaque background.

  2. 2

    Review the canvas and encoding

The template uses 512x512 pixels and transparent padding. Keep PNG as an intermediate image or select WebP for your workflow, then inspect any quality and size tradeoffs.

  3. 3

Inspect the image before importing it elsewhere

Process and download the artwork. Check the actual dimensions, transparency, encoding, and file size against your intended sticker workflow; packaging and import happen separately.

Keep the meaning of a small sticker intact

An expression, gesture, or short phrase has to remain clear when the artwork appears beside a conversation.

01

Give the expression a clear silhouette

A static reaction can lose its meaning when facial details become too small. Enough space around a prominent expression keeps it separate from nearby conversation content.

  • Keep the defining expression visible.
  • Reduce dependence on tiny facial marks.
  • Leave a distinct outline around the subject.
An expression readable beside a conversation

A prominent reaction and a smaller display version show which features carry its meaning.

02

Preserve the complete gesture

A hand, ear, or extended pose can carry the whole message of a sticker. Padding can retain those outer parts instead of cutting the action to fill the square.

  • Keep hands and other meaningful extremities.
  • Compare the pose with the full source.
  • Allow space between the artwork and the canvas edge.
A complete gesture with margin

The square framing leaves the meaningful outer parts of a pose within the image.

03

Protect words that already belong to the artwork

A short caption can become unreadable when it competes with a large face. A balanced source composition gives the phrase enough room without pushing it against the image edge.

  • Keep the full phrase within the canvas.
  • Check the smallest letter at compact scale.
  • Separate existing text from the main expression.
A short phrase with space around it

The existing caption has its own clear area below the sticker subject.

04

Give related reactions a comparable visual scale

A collection of still artworks can feel uneven when one subject is much smaller than the others. Comparable framing helps the reactions belong together while each keeps its own meaning.

  • Compare the apparent size of each subject.
  • Keep individual reactions distinct.
  • Retain a consistent amount of surrounding space.
Related reactions at comparable scale

Different expressions share a consistent canvas without becoming the same artwork.

WhatsApp static sticker resizing FAQ

Canvas dimensions, transparent padding, output encoding, and steps this resizer does not perform.

Does this page create a complete WhatsApp sticker pack?
It resizes existing still-image artwork into separate image files. It does not build a pack, create its tray icon or metadata, install an app, or import content into WhatsApp. Use a suitable sticker workflow for those steps.
Why does the template use 512x512 pixels?
The requested square canvas matches the dimensions in WhatsApp’s official sticker guidance. This is an editable Resize template, not a strict validator: changing the width or height can produce a file outside that requirement.
Why does the page start with PNG when stickers use WebP?
PNG preserves existing transparency and is useful as an intermediate artwork file. WhatsApp’s sticker guidance requires WebP, so select WebP or convert the PNG in your sticker workflow. A default PNG is not claimed to be an upload-ready sticker.
Will WebP output always meet the sticker file-size limit?
No byte limit is enforced on this page. WhatsApp’s official guidance limits static sticker files to 100 KB. Check the actual downloaded size and image quality, and use further compression if your result exceeds the applicable limit.
Will transparent padding remove my photo’s background?
Padding adds space around the source; it does not remove opaque pixels already inside it. Use artwork with an existing transparent background for a cutout. JPG output cannot retain that transparency.
Can I resize an animated sticker or make one from a video?
This workflow is for supported still images. It does not preserve or create animated frames, change timing, or convert a video into a sticker. Choose a separate tool designed for animation if movement is part of your artwork.
What happens if I select another Resize Template?
You can switch templates, edit dimensions, and change output format or quality like an ordinary Resize task. Those settings determine the result. The page does not silently force the original sticker canvas back onto your file.
Can I process a set of static reactions locally?
You can add several supported files within the displayed device and workspace limits. Each keeps its own image result for inspection. Files remain on your device, and no sticker is sent to a contact or published by this page.

Keep the reaction clear, right to its outer edge

Fit your existing artwork, inspect its silhouette and wording, and verify the file before using a sticker import workflow.
